One of the best songs of my favourite artists. Will see them live in February — I can't wait.
This song doesn't look that hard, but trust me when I say it's hard to nail. It's complex enough, and partly because of it the timing is a fair challenge (as can be heard 🙈) and it's quite long, clocking in at almost 5 minutes.
Scavengers consists of many parts and many fills, and it took around 14(?) attempts to finally get it good enough. Old me would record an additional fourteen takes. But I'm no drum machine, even though my family would claim I am.
Mix could be a bit better, and especially the snare sounds... off for some reason.
Overall though I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
